FlowersFlowers is an independent, woman-owned floral design studio located in Downtown Evanston.
Our specialty is having unique and beautiful flowers of unsurpassed quality and creating original, breathtaking floral arrangements with these blooms. The FlowersFlowers signature style is a lush English garden design style of premium blooms with delightful whimsy.
Flowers are imported to us daily from all over the world, from Holland to New Zealand, and South America to California. And, when available, we also have local grown flowers. The flowers vary from season to season with Mother Nature, and may include roses, ranunculus, peonies, dahlias, and hydrangea, along with textural and whimsical floral elements. We do not design with more ordinary flowers such as carnations, mums, poms, alstroemeria, and gerbera daisies, nor do we use fillers such as baby’s breath, asters, leather leaf and tree fern. The flower varieties and their quality, our designs, and our service, set us apart from others.
Our services range from floral arrangements for life’s everyday occasions to flowers and décor for weddings, parties, and events.
We offer local delivery within Evanston and to most of the North Shore suburbs as well as Chicago. We also provide services for sending flowers worldwide via one of the most exclusive wire services with member florists that share our philosophy of using high quality seasonal flowers in exceptional designs.
Since 1999, FlowersFlowers is under its 3rd ownership, and has been evolving to what it is today.
FlowersFlowers was a European style ‘bucket’ shop for its first 35 years, where customers could purchase flowers by the stem. As a result of a world and business changing pandemic, as of July 2021, we have changed our business model to that of a studio for the next 35+ years. Though we do not have customers browsing in the shop any longer, there are minimal changes to our services. We still offer deliveries and weddings/events, and pick up is available each weekday afternoon. And we’re always available to chat about flowers!

Joanne is the Owner and Creative Director of FlowersFlowers and discovered her love for flowers at a mid life career change, and now 25 years later, can’t imagine a world without being surrounded by flowers every day.
There are a dozen flower varieties that she calls her favorites, enjoys (almost) all aspects of managing the flower business, and continues to be in awe that individual flower stems can be transformed into an exquisite arrangement.
When she’s not working, Joanne can often be found in her Evanston coach house apartment with her 2 cats nearby, tea in one hand and a book in the other.
